Jewish Music transcends time and place. As stewards of Jewish Music, cantors of the American Conference of Cantors fill our congregations with song while serving the diverse needs of K’lal Yisrael (the Jewish community) in our country and around the world. The ACC provides the framework that enables our members to continue their sacred work with heart and passion – ensuring that the next generation of Jews will be singing the songs, all the songs, of our people. Donations to the ACC’s Chai Fund support these efforts.
  • ACC Chesed Fund

The Zohar teaches that the quality of Chesed represents the first day of creation, and that this first day, the day of loving kindness, accompanies and radiates its light to all other days of Creation. From time to time, members of the ACC may find themselves in dire or emergent situations, and turn to us, their professional association and colleagues for financial assistance. With compassion and sensitivity for our distressed members, the American Conference of Cantors has established the ACC Chesed Fund to provide emergency relief funds. May our efforts radiate compassion and chesed to our members in need, kindness begetting further kindnesses.

  • Shirei Mishkan HaNefesh

An American Conference of Cantors Anthology of Music for the High Holidays. In spring 2015, we anticipate the introduction of a beautiful new machzor --High Holy Day prayer book--to the High Holiday services at Reform congregations throughout North America. This Machzor, called Mishkan HaNefesh will embody many thoughtful years of planning, innovation, creativity, and reflection from the Central Conference of American Rabbis and the entire Reform movement. The American Conference of Cantors are inspired to give voice to this 21st century machzor by offering a compendium of new compositions that reflect the same core values of Mishkan HaNefesh. Like the Machzor the music we commission will underscore the central value of Teshuvah, accompanying our journey as together we seek repentance, new direction, and a sense of return to God and the Jewish people. Shirei Mishkan HaNefesh gives voice to new liturgy and expands upon the familiar themes that have remained with us from generation to generation.
